General Information
- This an OPT-IN SUMMER PROGRAM for students
- This program takes place at home, OR SUMMER SCHOOL FACILITY.
- Students spend time DOING WORKBOOK PAGES OR READING
- To earn one OSP (OFFICIAL STAR POINT), students finishing grades K-1 spend 15 minutes, grades 2-3 spend 20 minutes and grades 4 and up spend 30 minutes
- Parents submit OSPs BY GOING ONLINE OR BY MAILING IN A FORM TO EDUGEEKS
- All students who participate will BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD AT LEAST ONE certificate (PARTICIPANT, BRONZE, SILVER OR GOLD).
- ONE CERTIFICATE FOR EACH STUDENT WHO PARTICIPATES THROUGH THE U.S pOSTAL SERVICE WILL BE SENT TO THE SCHOOL OR TO PARENT'S HOME IF PARENT DID NOT PURCHASE THROUGH SCHOOL.
- For every 10 (ten) OSPs, a student will be able to have one slip entered into a drawing.
- There are three On-Line drawings at the end of the summer for each of the following grade groups; Gr. k-1, gr. 2-3, or gr. 4 and up. GR. K-1 STUDENTS EARNING SILVER (40 OSPS) GR. 1-2 STUDENTS EARNING BRONZE (80 OSPS) GR. 1-2 EARNING GOLD (120 ospS) GR. 1-2 cONTEST drawing . GR. 2-3 STUDENTS EARNING SILVER (40 OSPS) GR. 2-3 STUDENTS EARNING BRONZE (80 OSPS) GR. 2-3 EARNING GOLD (120 ospS) GR. 2-3 cONTESTS. GR. 4+ STUDENTS EARNING SILVER (40 OSPS) GR. 4+ STUDENTS EARNING BRONZE (80 OSPS) GR. 4+ EARNING GOLD (120 ospS) GR. 4+ cONTEST drawing. Additional Drawings are held throughout the summer for students who participate in our contests, riddles, jokes and silly stuff activities.
- students that earn gold will have slips entered in the bronze, silver and gold drawings, students that earn silver will be entered into the silver and Bronze drawings, students that earn bronze will be entered into only the bronze drawing
- students that win in more than one of the osp drawings will win one prize the one that has the higher retail value
- students may win one osp drawing and the grade levels contest drawings for a total of two prizes
- aLL pRIZE WINNERS are posted on-line and prizes are sent to schools for distribution in the fall OR IF PARENT DID NOT PURCHASED PROGRAM THROUGH SCHOOL-PRIZES WON WILL BE SENT DIRECTLY TO PARENTS HOME.
